We match clients with coaches based on factors we have found to improve the probability for a productive coaching experience.

Since deep trust and safety is the hallmark of any healthy coaching relationship,’s matching technology intends to increase the probability of immediate client-coach rapport and trust, thereby improving the likelihood of mutual satisfaction and successful results.

The Premise Of

Coach compatibilityHave you ever met someone who you instantly liked or felt connected with? Even though you didn’t know this person, you were able to feel some kind of bond. Like you were related?

This connection is most likely due to the fact that you and this person share subconscious preferences; you may tend to think alike, make decisions and learn in a similar way, etc. When you recognize this in another person, you instantly feel connected or related in some way.

This sense of connection is linked to human survival skills that we adapted thousands of years ago, when we lived in small groups on the plains. In order to survive, we had to be able to identify both friends and foes from a distance. These skills are now hard wired into our minds (fight or flight / “the reptilian brain”). We have learned to quickly pick up subtle cues that are often below the level of consciousness, leading to an intuition or a ‘gut feeling’ about someone.

At (as well as, we know that there are thousands of coaches who are ready and willing to work with you. But, the truth is not everyone would be a good fit. Our premise is that you will enjoy greater results if you work with a coach with whom you are matched on several dimensions, versus a coach with whom you are not compatible. This is because when you work with a compatible coach, you are able to enjoy greater trust and safety, which is required for effective coaching.

About our Matching System

Our matching system is based on elements selected from the theories of Myers Briggs, Telos Programs, The Destination Method, Gestalt, Representational Systems, Cognitive-Behavioral Perspectives, Meta-Modeling, Epistemology and Axiology.

Our matching decisions are based on 23 individually weighted criteria, including:

  • Preferred Learning Styles
  • Motivation Strategies
  • Perceptual Positions
  • Decision Strategies
  • Introversion / Extroversion
  • Preferred Orientation in Time

We routinely collect feedback from our coaches and clients on the quality of our matches, in order to improve the quality and accuracy of our matching over time.
